Southern Maryland Blue Crabs News Release
(York) The Crabs were looking for their fourth straight game and their fourth straight against the York Revolution as Sandro Cabrera took the hill for the Blue Crabs.
The Blue Crabs scored immediately, as Jack Sundberg led off the game with a double into right-center and scored on a passed ball to make it 1-0. Southern Maryland scored another run the next inning from an Alex Crosby single; the Crabs were up 2-0.
The Revolution would score one run in the bottom of the third, and they scored a pair of runs the inning after Nellie Rodriguez and Trey Martin collected RBIs. The Revs scored three more runs in the bottom of the fifth to build a 6-2 lead.
Isaias Quiroz blasted a solo home run for his third of the last two games. Michael Wielansky scratched another run across, and then a throwing error got the third run across and made it 6-5.
With one out in the top of the ninth, K.C. Hobson worked a walk to move Michael Wielansky up to second base and give them a chance to tie the game. A couple of strikeouts, and the game was over, as the Revs took a 6-5 win.
Tomorrow's game has turned into a rubber match, with Ian Kahaloa going against former Blue Crab pitcher Denson Hull. It is an early game, with the first pitch slated for 11:00 AM. The game can be streamed on FloSports.
