WILMINGTON - The Delaware Blue Coats will host Game 1 of the 2023 NBA G League Finals, presented by YouTube TV, against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Tuesday, April 4 at 9:00 p.m. ET at Chase Fieldhouse. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are available now via Ticketmaster, the Official Ticketing Partner of the Delaware Blue Coats.
The best-of-three championship series is Delaware's third-straight appearance in the title matchup. The team is just the second all-time to reach three consecutive G League Finals, joining the 2013-15 Santa Cruz Warriors in this historic feat.
The Blue Coats defeated the Long Island Nets on Sunday night in the Eastern Conference Final game at Nassau Coliseum in New York. Jaden Springer tallied 21 points, 16 rebounds, and three blocks. Blue Coats forward Louis King netted 20 points, five rebounds, three rebounds and three steals. Mac McClung (16) and Braxton Key (15) rounded out the scoring for the Blue Coats.
Delaware beat Capital City in the Eastern Conference Semifinal on March 30, 104-99. The Blue Coats were awarded a first-round bye for finishing second overall in the conference.
The upcoming Finals matchup is a rematch in the making. Rio Grande Valley defeated Delaware in the 2022 NBA G League Finals two games to none.
