Blue Bombers Celebrate Two Sellouts

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers would like to thank the fans for their tremendous support last night as a sold-out stadium of 29,533 helped propel the team to a 25-20 victory over the BC Lions. On what was an emotional night with the Football Club paying tribute to Coach Richard Harris, the fans truly made an impact on the outcome of the game.

The Winnipeg Football Club is also pleased to announce another achievement - all 8100 specialty Blue Bomber licence plates are now completely sold-out. The Blue Bombers would like to thank all those fans who have purchased them and proudly display their Bomber pride throughout the province of Manitoba. This project was a joint effort and could not have been made possible without the partnerships of Manitoba Public Insurance and the Government of Manitoba who were instrumental in the planning, launch and execution of the entire program.

The Blue Bombers play host to the 4-0 Edmonton Eskimos next Friday, August 5th at Canad Inns Stadium. Already over 24,000 tickets have been sold and the Blue Bombers want to encourage fans to get their tickets fast so that the stadium can be as loud as it was during last night's game.
