Winnipeg Blue Bombers News Release
WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Football Club is pleased to announce that the first phase of the Stadium 2012 Ticket Transfer Program has been a major success.
To date, the club is pleased to announce an 85% redemption rate from current season ticket holders (21,155), as over 18,000 current season tickets have been committed to date for 2012. This marks the largest season ticket base the club has ever assembled prior to the previous season being concluded.
As a result the football club has also announced it will extend the deadline of phase one until October 31, 2011.
"Due to the volume of commitments and as we continue to process all of the deposits, we want to allow our current season ticket holders an additional few days to place their 2012 deposits if they haven't already done so," said Blue Bomber President Jim Bell. "Current season ticket holders will be granted an extended period to make their $50.00 deposit per seat."
Phase two of the Stadium 2012 Ticket Transfer Program is seat transfer. This will commence in November and continue through March where fans by priority will be contacted through email. Season tickets for the general public will go on sale in April of 2012.
"It is important for all of our season ticket holders who have made their deposits to understand that phase two of this process will begin in November and continue through March of 2012. Fans will be contacted in due course to assist them with phase two of the process," said Bell.
Deposits can be placed by logging on to www.ticketmaster.ca and clicking 'account manager'. Winnipeg Blue Bomber fans can direct their Stadium 2012 queries by email to newstadiuminfo@bluebombers.com or by phone to 1-866-837-1774.
