
Blowfish Spray 12 Runs over HiToms; Win Fifth Straight

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. - After a rainout on Monday night, the Blowfish bats stayed hot against High Point-Thomasville tonight at Lexington County Baseball Stadium. The Blowfish bludgeoned the HiToms skewing 11 hits over eight innings en route to a 12-1 win.
The victory marks the fifth in a row for the CPL leading Blowfish who in the last two games have plated 26 runs coupled with 27 hits.
The HiToms started the scoring in the first after back-to-back two out hits from Daniel Sullivan (Gardner Webb) and Zach Almond (Catawba) but would be kept in check throughout the remaining eight.
Lexington County plated four in the home half of the first, two of which off the bat of Brett Auckland (Presbyterian) who would go on to have a three hit, five RBI night for the Blowfish.
The Blowfish would add three more in the second and fourth to break it open at 10 to 1 just four innings into the ballgame.
Adam Yacek (Miami, OH) reached base safely four times and scored three times and Chris Singleton (Charleston Southern) was plated three times most notably on an RBI triple from Nate Blanchard (Charleston Southern) in the eighth.
