PORT HURON, Mich. - Jason Lepine, in his first game back since Oct. 25 after undergoing surgery for a torn ACL, scored the winning goal as the fourth shooter in sudden death to give the Bloomington PrairieThunder a 4-3 International Hockey League victory Friday night over league-leading Port Huron before 1,501 people at McMorran Arena.

The triumph moved Bloomington's record to 24-28-1-3 (52 points) and snapped a six-game losing streak at Port Huron and a three-game losing streak overall. Port Huron's record dropped to 34-17-5-1 (74 points).

The PrairieThunder returns to action Saturday with a 6:30 p.m. game at Flint.

Bloomington scored the game's first goal 30 seconds into the game when Bill Bagron netted a goal off assists from Jon Booras and Russ Smith. Port Huron tied the game with 12:39 remaining in the first period on a goal by Steve Rymsha off assists by Brian Smolinski and Jamie Carroll.

Port Huron took a 2-1 lead with 3:57 left in the second period on a Smolinski goal with assists to Nick Lindberg and Carroll on a power play. Matt Frick tied the game for Bloomington with 1:18 to go in the second period off assists by Bagron and Booras.

Carroll gave the IceHawks a 3-2 lead in the third period with 16:02 left off assists by Lindberg and Smolinski. The PrairieThunder tied the game when Brett Holmberg scored with 9:16 remaining in the third period on assists by John Nail and Mike Kusy.

Bloomington goaltender Jason Wolfe stopped 45 of 48 shots to earn the win.
