Icehawks Forward Recalled By American Hockey League

PORT HURON, MI - Port Huron Icehawks right wing Robert Snowball was recalled today by the Lake Erie Monsters in the American Hockey League. The Monsters are the AAA affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche.

The enforcer was originally called up to Lake Erie on February 14 and scored his first AHL goal in his first shift that evening versus the Manchester Monarchs. He played in three games with the team and registered one goal and a +1 rating. He was reassigned to Port Huron on Friday, February 27.

Snowball joins the Monsters as they gear up for three home games this weekend. They host the Rochester Americans on Friday and Saturday and play the Hershey Bears at home on Sunday.

The 27-year old native of Markham, Ontario is in sixth professional season and third in the city of Port Huron. He has tallied seven points (4g, 3a), a +8 rating and 53 penalty minutes in 23 games with the Icehawks this season.

The league leading Icehawks play three games in three days this weekend. They face Bloomington at home tonight, travel to Muskegon on Saturday, then return home on Sunday for a game with Kalamazoo.
