Following a very busy week where the Bloomington PrairieThunder played four games in five nights, including three on the road, Bloomington heads back on the road for two games this weekend in Indiana. The PrairieThunder are in Fort Wayne on Friday night before heading to Evansville for the first time this season on Saturday night. Bloomington begins the week at 8-6-1 (17 points). The Central Illinois six are tied with Evansville (8-8-1) for fifth place in the CHL's Turner (Northern) Division.
Last week, the PrairieThunder split their four games, winning in both Missouri (3-2 on 11/24) and in Quad City (4-3 on 11/26), before losing in Dayton last Saturday by a 4-3 margin and at home to Rio Grande Valley 5-0 on Sunday afternoon. It was the first time this season that Bloomington had been shutout.

It's the second meeting of the year against Fort Wayne (5-8-1). The PThunder shutout the Komets 4-0 back on November 5th in Fort Wayne. However, the Komets have won three in a row. Frankie DeAngelis leads Fort Wayne in scoring with 13 points (4 goals & 9 assists). Kaleigh Schrock is the Komets leading goal scorer with five. Schrock also leads the "K"'s in penalty minutes with 53.

It's also the second meeting of the season against Evansville and the first visit to the Swonder Ice Arena, the temporary home for the IceMen until they move into the new 9000 seat Evansville Events Center next season. Evansville begins the week 8-8-1 and will play three games, including tonight in Memphis, before facing Bloomington on Saturday night. The IceMen's Nicklas Lindberg is 8th in the CHL in scoring with 23 points (5 goals & 18 assists).
PrairieThunder Notes
Forward Jason Dale continues to lead Bloomington in scoring with 12 points (5 goals & 7 assists).....John Snowden is the team leader in goals scored with six while Bill Bagron now leads the team in assists with eight.....Bagron is also the team's plus / minus leader at +6.....Veteran goaltender Marco Emond is 7-4-1 with a 2.53 goals against average and a 91.1% save percentage. Rookie netminder Brad Phillips is 2-1-0 with a 2.48 goals against average and a 90.7% save percentage.....Since starting the season with a perfect 4-0 record, the PrairieThunder is 4-6-1.
