
Blizzard Win, Quad City Loss and Iowa Bye Equals 1st Place Tie

When all the dust settled after a weekend of arenafootball2 (af2) action there was a three way tie for first place in the Midwest Division. The Green Bay Blizzard beat the Peoria Pirates, 55-34, at the Resch Center to improve their record to 4-3 overall with a 3-1 division record.
The Blizzard saw strong performances from QB Gino Guidugli with five touchdowns on the day and WR Anthony Crissinger-Hill returned to action with nine catches for 141 yards and three touchdowns. DB Tracy Belton also had a strong performance after intercepting two of Peoria's pass attempts.
The Quad City Steamwheelers lost a battle at home to the South Georgia Wildcats dropping their record to 3-1 in division play. The Iowa Barnstormers had a bye this week to stay at their 3-1 record in the division completing the three way tie for first.
All three teams will be in action this weekend as the fight to stay on top of the division heats up. The Blizzard will be heading to play the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers at the Wachovia Arena in Wilkes- Barre, Pennsylvania.
The Blizzard will return home to the Resch Center Friday, May 29th to play the Quad City Steamwheelers. The University of Wisconsin Marching Band will provide entertainment at halftime and after the game with their legendary 5th quarter performance.
