Green Bay Blizzard News Release
Bruiser, the mascot of the Green Bay Blizzard and members of the Blizzard staff will be visiting the students and staff of Webster Elementary School and Beaumont Elementary School today, February 5, 2008 and tomorrow, February 6, 2008.
The Green Bay Blizzard and Bruiser will be reading to the students of the schools as a way to promote literacy within the schools. This will also be a jumpstart for Bruiser's Reading Club at the schools, a program set up to help students with their reading. This year, the Blizzard has set a record with more than 3,500 students involved in the program. The program which is an incentive based reading program, awards students prizes for reaching their reading goals with the last prize being a free ticket to a Blizzard home game on May 2nd, 2008 vs. the Iowa Barnstormers.
Bruiser will be at Webster Elementary School (February 5th) at 1:00 pm and will be at Beaumont Elementary School tomorrow (February 6th) at 12:30 pm.
