Blizzard Take on Wichita Falls Night Hawks Saturday

Green Bay, WI (May 15, 2015) - The Green Bay Blizzard will take on the Wichita Falls Night Hawks for the first time ever at 6pm on Saturday, May 16th on Aurora BayCare Freeze Field at the Resch Center. The Night Hawks are in their first year in the IFL and coached by former Blizzard defensive coordinator, James Kerwin.

The Blizzard return home after a 3 game road trip in which they were 2-1 and played their way back into the playoff race in the United Conference. After victories at Bemidji and Cedar Rapids, the Blizzard dropped their matchup against the undefeated Sioux Falls Storm last Friday night.

Led by quarterback Marcus Jackson and by former Blizzard defensive back James Ackel, the Night Hawks come to Green Bay after winning on the road at Cedar Rapids last week. Blizzard Head Coach Tommie Williams will look to exploit the Night Hawks' 8th ranked defense with the top ranked passing offense in the league, which got stronger with the acquisition last week of All-IFL wide receiver Carl Sims.

Saturday's game is also Pink Ribbon Night. One dollar of every ticket sold to the game will benefit the Ribbon of Hope Foundation, which helps individuals with breast cancer throughout NE Wisconsin.
