Green Bay Blizzard News Release

Green Bay, WI – Saturday, April 24th will be the third meeting between the Green Bay Blizzard and the Wichita Stealth in the very short existence of the Blizzard franchise. The Stealth lead the series 2-0 after defeating the Blizzard twice in 2003.

The Blizzard enter Saturday's game with a 1-1 record losing to Wilkes Barre/Scranton, while the Stealth are 3-0 coming off defeating Peoria in weeks 1 and 3. Saturday's game will make for only the second game for Stealth's OS Michael Dritlein after Blizzard Kicker Greg Krauss tackled him on a kick off return in the May 31st 2003 game and torn his ACL. Dritlein missed the remainder of the season. Showing no signs of the injury, Dritlein had a big game last week against the Peoria Pirates when he caught 8 passes for 135 yards and three touchdowns.

Blizzard OS Randall Lane is quickly moving up the chart on the Blizzard franchise record list. In only two games with the Blizzard and in the season, Lane already has 9 touchdowns and 54 points. The Blizzard record is 18 and 110, respectively, by WR/LB Robert Garth in 2003. Look for QB's Chris Greisen and Dennis Gile to continue to work the ball Lane's way.

The Blizzard do not return to action at home until Saturday, May 8th against the Central Valley Coyotes.
