Estero, FL- The Florida Firecats look to return to their winning ways this weekend at TECO Arena.

The Florida Firecats return home to TECO Arena this weekend to take on conference rivals, the Cape Fear Wildcats. They look to get back on the winning track after being upset last weekend by the Memphis Xplorers in South Haven, Mississippi, by a slim margin of 54-51.

The Firecats bring the number one offense in arenafootball2 to the game, racking up an average of 318.5 yards a game. They also bring the best rushing attack in the league to the game with two fullbacks ranked in the top ten in the league. Steve Gorrie is number two with 59 yards and two touchdowns. Chris Morant is number ten with 34 yards. The Firecats also have the number two defense in the league, allowing opponents a mere 156 yards a game. Their passing defense also ranks at the top of the league by giving up a selfish 122 yards a game. The Firecats have allowed only 23 first downs this season, which is also the league's best.

Ken Mastrole leads the offensive attack, completing 49-78 passes for 543 yards and 12 touchdowns. Cainon Lamb heads up the deep receiving corps with 21 receptions for 175 yards and six touchdowns. Magic Benton follows up Lamb with 13 receptions for 179 yards and three touchdowns. Receiver Anthony Snead has scored almost every time that he has touched the ball, compiling three touchdowns and 111 yards off of five receptions. Brent Burnside has also pulled in nine balls for 68 yards.

On the defensive front, Dante Booker leads the way. Booker is currently third in the league with 3.5 tackles for a loss. The linebacker corps of Lamb, Morant, and Gorrie has played solid thus far this season. Lamb has 5.5 tackles and three pass breakups. Morant has 3.5 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Gorrie has five tackles this season. In the defensive backfield, Quincy Sorrell and Desmond Washington lead the way. Sorrell leads the team with 6.5 tackles, and he has three pass deflections. Washington has 5.5 tackles and a team leading four pass deflections.
