Green Bay Blizzard News Release
Coming off their 2006 American Conference Championship, the Blizzard coaching staff is putting together the roster for 2007. The Blizzard has been assigned 21 players by the league.
QB Zeke Dixon (6'2", 225 Stephen F. Austin) will be returning to the team after playing last season with the Blizzard. Dixon played a backup role at the quarterback position for the 2006 American Conference Champion Blizzard. This season Zeke is excited to come back to the Blizzard and build on that American Conference Championship season last year. According to Dixon a championship is all that matters.
"The main goal for this season is to win a championship. I don't care about personal stats, as long as the team is winning, I am happy," says Zeke Dixon.
The Blizzard has also been assigned WR Kerry Wright (5'9", 175 Middle Tennessee St.). Last season Wright played for the Birmingham Steeldogs catching passes for 801 yards and 13 touchdowns in 8 games. Kerry will bring experience, knowledge and talent to the Blizzard offense this season.
"I am excited about working with the Blizzard coaching staff on getting better as a player. Playing for the Blizzard is a great situation, with great coaches and players, Kerry Wright comments on the organization.
