Green Bay Blizzard News Release

Green Bay, WI - The Green Bay Blizzard and Head Coach Robert Fuller announce today that Wide Receiver Bryan Pray will be returning for his second season with the Blizzard. Pray was a midseason addition in 2011 when the Blizzard acquired him through a trade with the LaCrosse Spartans. Coach Fuller commented on Pray saying, "We are excited to get Bryan back and we hope he is the first of many Blizzard players to resign for the 2012 season. We have high expectations of Bryan and really look forward to seeing the impact he will have for us this year." As a member of the Blizzard, Pray saw action in seven regular season games catching 19 balls for 287 yards and four touchdowns. During the Blizzard playoff run, Pray caught two passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns.

Pray attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M from 2003 until 2005 before earning a full scholarship to Division II Pittsburg State University. As a Gorilla, he averaged over 23 yards per catch on his way to a first team All-Southwest region and also earned spots on the second and third team All-American squads.

After college he signed a free agent contract with the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL in the spring of '07. After completing training camp/preseason games, he was released and added to the Saskatchewan Roughriders practice squad until the end of the season.

Pray began his Arena Football career after working out for Iowa Barnstormer coach John Gregory. He started five games at the receiver position in 2008 for the Barnstormers. In 2009, Pray signed with AF2 Milwaukee Iron. A training camp injury slowed Pray from seeing the field until week 8 of the season. In his Iron debut, he had five receiving touchdowns. Pray finished the year with 13 touchdowns and 696 yards receiving in eight games. In 2010 Pray would see his first action in the IFL where he signed with the West Michigan Thunderhawks. Following a successful first season in the IFL, Pray started the 2011 season with the La Crosse Spartans before being traded the Green Bay Blizzard midseason.

The Green Bay Blizzard are proud members of the Indoor Football League (IFL) and was named the 2011 IFL Franchise of the Year. The reigning Great Lakes Division Champions play all their home games at the Resch Center in Green Bay, WI. 2012 Season tickets are on SALE NOW, call 920-405-1264 to reserve your seat in the action!
