Allen Wranglers Drew Pearson to be Inducted into Cowboys Ring of Honor this Sunday

The Allen Wranglers general manager and legendary Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Drew Pearson will be inducted into the Ring of Honor this Sunday when the Cowboys host the Seattle Seahawks at Cowboys Stadium. The Cowboys will induct Pearson, along with Charles Haley and LarryAllen this weekend.
Pearson, 59, played at the University of Tulsa before being selected as a free agent by the Dallas Cowboys in 1973. As a Cowboy, Pearson recorded 489 receptions, 7,882 receiving yards and 50 touchdowns. He was elected to the NFL 1970's All-Decade team and had All-Pro selections in 1974, 1976 and 1977. Pearson led the Dallas Cowboys to three Super Bowl appearances, winning the title in 1978. Pearson is also known for catching the game-winning 50-yard touchdown pass from Roger Staubach that coined the phrase "Hail Mary."
Since his retirement in 1983, Pearson has worked as a sports broadcaster and chairman of Drew Pearson Marketing, Inc. He served as the head coach for the Dallas Texans arena football team in 1991 and also served as general manager of the New York/New Jersey Hitmen during the XFL's lone season in 2001. Mr. Pearson is starting his second year as general manager of the Allen Wranglers.
