The Green Bay Blizzard is alone atop the Midwest Division after their 33-20 win over rival Louisville Fire on Friday night. With a 10-5 record, and one game remaining in the regular season, the Blizzard holds the third seed in the American Conference for the 2008 playoffs.
Playoff tickets are currently on sale for a first round playoff game on Friday, August 1, 2008. The game will feature the ever-popular "Buck Night." Should the Blizzard host a second round playoff game; the game would be Saturday, August 9, 2008. The game will feature the return of the Klement's Racing Sausages. The world-famous Racing Sausages, who appear at all Milwaukee Brewer games, will make their second appearance at US Cellular Field at the Resch Center this season. In a close race at halftime on Friday, April 25th, the Chorizo edged out the Italian Sausage in a photo finish.
