Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings News Release

BOSSIER CITY, LA (July 21,2008)- The Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings announced today that tickets are on sale for their first ever home playoff game on Saturday, August 2nd at 7:00 PM at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City. Individual tickets start as low as $8 per person and group tickets start as low as $7 per person. Season ticket holders will have the right of first refusal for their season ticket seats. Tickets for this historic event can be ordered through the BattleWings ticket office at (318)-746-8755.

The BattleWings are currently 8-7 on the season and will square off against division foe Austin Wranglers (also 8-7) this Saturday in Austin in a showdown that will determine the Southwest Division Champion. Each of the six division champions in af2 will host a first round playoff game while the other playoff game locations will be determined by team record.

The Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings are in their 8th season and are Bossier/Shreveport's longest standing professional football team. The BattleWings made the playoffs last season for the first time in team history with an 11-5 regular season record, but were unable to secure a home playoff game before falling to eventual ArenaCup champion Tulsa Talons in the National Conference Championship game. "Last year was great, but we had to go on the road for all three of our playoff games", stated BattleWings' General Manager Butch Bellah. "We were somewhat disappointed in the fact that the folks of Bossier/Shreveport didn't get to experience the playoff atmosphere first-hand in their hometown. This year, they could have that chance."
