Who: #3 Bloomington Edge (10-4) at #2 Green Bay Blizzard (11-3)

Where: Brown County Arena - Green Bay, WI

Blizzard Update: Green Bay wrapped up the regular season last week with a 72-41 win over Wichita. The Blizzard returned a pair of interceptions for touchdowns and running back La'Ron Council broke four different IFL records in the victory. Council broke the IFL record for rushing attempts in a season (256), passed the 1,000 yard rushing mark for the first time in IFL history, rushing yards in a season (1,040) and set the single season record for rushing touchdowns (32). The Blizzard defense held the Wild scoreless in the first and third quarters. Defensive back Aaron Moore had a 37 yard interception return for a touchdown in the first quarter and defensive back Curtis Thomas had a 10 yard touchdown return in the third quarter. Moore finished with two interceptions on the night and had four tackles. Greg Jackson led the defense with 11 total tackles.

The Blizzard had three players that earned All-IFL honors: La'Ron Council, First Team Running Back; BJ Hill, Second Team Defensive Back and Special Teams Kick Returner; and Seth Smalls, Second Team Offensive Line.

Edge Update: Bloomington has had two weeks to prepare for the Blizzard. The Edge ended their regular season on June 8th with a 74-64 victory over Cedar Rapids. Quarterback Dusty Burk was 21 of 30 passing for 223 yards and six touchdowns. Burk has over 10,000 passing yards for his career. Running back Andre Raymond broke the Edge team record for rushing touchdowns with 18 on the year. Linebacker Ameer Ismail is the leading tackler in the IFL. He finished the regular season with 167 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles.

Bloomington had four players make the All-IFL team: Jeff Sobol, First Team Defensive Line; Ameer Ismail, First Team Linebacker; James Temple, First Team Defensive Back; and Antonio Ficklin, Second Team Defensive Lineman. Temple is no longer with the team.

Series: Green Bay leads the series 4-2. Five of the six games have been won by the home team. The Blizzard swept both games played this season, including a 34-21 win in Bloomington on May 5th. Saturday is the first playoff match-up between the two teams.

Playoffs: Green Bay is 8-7 all-time in the playoffs (1-2 in the IFL). The Blizzard are 3-2 in home playoff games (1-1 in the IFL). Bloomington is 0-3 in the IFL playoffs.

Transactions: Green Bay signed WR Daryl Robinson (Temple) and placed WR Bryan Pray on season ending IR. Bloomington signed DL Marvin Campbell (Harper College/NFL Redskins) and LB Taurean Charles (Florida). The Edge placed DL Billy Harrison on season ending IR.
