Blizzard Look for First Win

March 16, 2016 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Green Bay Blizzard News Release

Green Bay, WI - The Green Bay Blizzard (0-4) look to win their first game of the 2016 season when they take on the Nebraska Danger (3-0) for the second time in less than a week, Friday, March 18th on Aurora BayCare Freeze Field at the Resch Center. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05pm.

The Blizzard look to avenge the 48-37 loss in Nebraska this past Saturday night. An offense that struggled the first couple of games of the season seems to be coming together in the last 2 weeks. The Blizzard have moved from last in the league in total offense two weeks ago to seventh, averaging 225 yards per game. Quarterback Matt Behrendt is second in the league in passing yards per game (172) and touchdowns (12).

On defense, the Blizzard will look to contain the 2015 IFL MVP, Nebraska quarterback Jameel Sewell. Sewell accounted for 210 yards of offense and 4 touchdowns (3 rushing) this past Saturday night. Defensive End Ryan Smith will anchor the defensive line and Defensive Back Jamie Bender will patrol the secondary on Friday night as they look to stop the Danger who come into the game as the 2nd ranked offense in the IFL.

Friday night is also Superheroes vs Villains Night. Fans are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite superhero or villain and enter to win great prizes such as tickets to Marvel Live, Marcus Theatre movie passes, and even an early screening of Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice with the entire Green Bay Blizzard team!

Tickets start at just $12 and are available now at the Resch Center box office or online at www.TicketStarOnline.com.
