The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the Vidswap.com Players of the Week for Week 4 of the 2016 IFL season.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Lyle McCombs (RB, Nebraska Danger)

The Nebraska Danger have started 3-0 for just the second time in the team's history in part to a 48-37 victory over the Green Bay Blizzard in Week 4. RB Lyle McCombs gashed through the Blizzard defense early and often as he rushed for two touchdowns in the first quarter to give Nebraska an early lead. McCombs then added another rushing touchdown in the third quarter to give the Danger a 22 point lead. McCombs (5'8,195, Univ. of Connecticut) finished this night with 14 carries for 73 yards and three touchdowns. He also added two catches for 35 yards and 88 yards on four kickoff returns. His 196 all-purpose yards were second most in a game this season and he is currently third in the league with 442 all-purpose yards. McCombs is the second consecutive Danger player to be awarded IFL Offensive Player of the Week (Week 3; Jameel Sewell) . Nebraska heads to Green Bay this weekend to again face off against the Blizzard.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Mikell Mair (LB, Billings Wolves) - 8

Coming into their game vs the Spokane Empire, the Billings Wolves aloowed the fewest yards of any defense in the league. They continued to prove why as they shut down the Empire 30-22 in Week 4. Leading the defensive effort for the Wolves was LB Mikell Mair. Mair (6'2,240, Texas A&M -Commerce) totaled eight tackles, half of a sack, and one fumble recovery as the Wolves defense held one of the top scoring offenses in the IFL to just 22 points. Through four games this season the Wolves have allowed just 37.5 points per game and less than 200 yards per game. Billings is on a bye week in Week 5 before looking to shut down another high-powered offense in the Iowa Barnstormers on March 26

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Tyler Williams (KR, Wichita Falls Nighthawks)

The Wichita Falls Nighthawks have yielded the most explosive offense in the IFL through the first four weeks of the season, averaging 68 points per contest, ten more than the nearest team. KR Tyler Williams was potent weapon for Wichita Falls as he had a career day vs Iowa. In the team's 74-47 rout of the Barnstormers, Williams (5'7,175, Univ. of Akron) returned the opening kickoff of the second half back 49 yards for a touchdown, giving the Nighthawks a lead they would never relinquish. Williams finished his career night with 108 kick return yards on just four returns and a touchdown. He also proved to be dangerous on the ground as he had seven rushes for 51 yards and three touchdowns. A member of the Nighthawks has now been named an IFL Player of the Week for three consecutive weeks. Wichita Falls enjoys a bye week this week before traveling to face the Nebraska Danger on March 25.
