
Blizzard Cracks Coaches Poll Top 10

On the strength of an impressive 3-game winning streak, the Green Bay Blizzard has risen from the doldrums earlier in the season into the Top 10 of this week's af2 Coaches Poll.
Currently ranked at #10, the Blizzard (5-4) is in good company, joining af2 powerhouses like the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (6-2, #4), the Florida Firecats (6-2, #3) and the reigning af2 Champion Memphis Xplorers (7-2, #2). This week the poll saw an all-new #1, as the expansion Spokane Shock (7-1) took over the top spot for the first time ever.

The Blizzard has already posted one victory over a team ranked higher in the poll, a 48-34 win over the Manchester Wolves on April 7th. They fell to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers 42-27 on May 5th, but look forward to the rematch in Green Bay on June 24th. They also have a matchup with the Florida Firecats on July 1st in Florida.
The Blizzard is enjoying a well-deserved week off this weekend, but returns to action at home on Saturday, June 10th against the expansion Stockton Lightning (3-5). It will be Great Wolf Lodge/Blue Harbor Resort "Fanbana" Night, and fans will receive a Blizzard Fanbana as they enter the arena.
