Blizzard Bounce Back with Big Win

Green Bay started fast with a 14 yard touchdown pass from QB Gino Guidugli (17 of 21 for 246 yards and 5 TD) to WR Nate Forse in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 6,376 fans. After the Pirates evened up the score at 7-7, the combination of Guidugli and Forse (9 Rec. for 130 yards and 3 TD) connected once again, this time from 25 yards out to give the Blizzard a lead they would not relinquish.

DL Anthony Hoke (2 solo tackles, 2 assisted tackles, 1 TD) provided a defensive score with a fumble recovery in the end zone, putting the Blizzard up 21-7 to end the half. In the third quarter, Blizzard WR Anthony Crissinger-Hill (9 Rec. for 141 yards and 3 TD) continued the scoring attack by hauling in a pair of touchdown receptions from Guidugli of 14 and 35 yards.

Crissinger-Hill remained a potent target as he snagged an 8 yard pass from new Blizzard QB Mark Nicolet (3 of 4 for 37 yards) for Green Bay's fnal score. Peoria WR Darren Paige (7 Rec. for 54 yards and 3 TD) tallied one last touchdown but the Pirates ended up short, losing to the Blizzard 55-34.

With a total scoring performance of 55 points, Blizzard fans were rewarded with a free scoop of cus- tard courtesy of Culver's, and a free hotdog from Anduzzi's Sports Bar. Next week, the Blizzard travel to W-B/Scranton , and return home on May 29th to square off against the Quad City Steamwheelers. The University of Wisconsin Marching Band will provide entertainment with their halftime and legend- ary 5th quarter performances.
