
Blizzard Back On Top of Midwest Division

Green Bay Blizzard News Release
With the most recent victory against the Milwaukee Iron, Green Bay pushed to the top of the Midwest Division. The Blizzard are now 3-2 on the season and 2-0 in the division.
Green Bay's defense stepped up against the Iron, forcing six turnovers and seven sacks throughout the game and allowing only one touchdown in the second half. Two of the turnovers were intercep- tions returned for touchdowns both occurring in the frst half. The Blizzard offense rolled with rookie quarterback Mark Nicolet hitting wide receiver Nate Forse four times for 76 yards. Kicker Bob For- strom set a Green Bay team record with fve feld goals made on six attempts.
This week the Blizzard will be facing the Iowa Barnstormers (3-3) which started the season 3-0 but has slowed since then losing the last three games. The Blizzard leads all-time series 2-0 against the Barnstormers.
For the fourth year in a row, JJ Keller is sponsoring the High School Football Tug-of-War in memory of Bradley Williams from Appleton Xavier High School. Local high school football players will be featured in the event and will be held at half-time during this week's game against the Barnstormers at the Resch Center on Friday, May 8th. Come out and see a great tug-of-war challenge and a great football matchup between these two division rivals.
