Green Bay Blizzard News Release

GREEN BAY, WI: The Green Bay Blizzard have added two Indoor Football League veterans with NFL experience and a rookie to the 2013 roster. Defensive back Reggie Sullivan (Johnson C. Smith/Carolina Panthers) rejoins the Blizzard after a short stint with the team in 2011. Wide receiver Aaron Higdon (Charleston/Detroit Lions) and defensive back Darius Davis (Memphis) will be coming to Green Bay for the first time.

"We are very excited to have these three young men join the Blizzard family," said Blizzard Head Coach Robert Fuller. "They fit the mold of what we are looking for - very talented football players that believe in our "team first" concept and understand what it's going to take for us to be successful. Reggie has been brought into camp by the Carolina Panthers twice and is right on the verge of making it. How he prepares and conducts himself will be a great example for our rookies. We felt Aaron was one of the most explosive and dynamic players in the IFL last season and can help us by contributing at several positions. Darius is a very exciting rookie prospect for us and has the versatility we are looking for from our defensive backs. We expect these three to be big time contributors for us this season."

Reggie Sullivan (6'2", 218 lbs.) played for the Blizzard and the Sioux Falls Storm in 2011. He appeared in two games with the Blizzard and collected five tackles. Sullivan finished the 2011 season on the Carolina Panthers' practice squad. He also participated in organized team activities with the Panthers in 2009 after being signed as an undrafted free agent out of Johnson C. Smith University. Sullivan has also spent time with the Dallas Vigilantes and the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz of the Arena Football League.

Aaron Higdon (5'8", 185) is a speedster that can make plays out of the backfield, as a receiver, or as a return specialist. He spent the 2012 IFL season with the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks. In eight games with the Steelhawks, Higdon rushed 16 times for 52 yards and a touchdown, caught 31 passes for 425 yards and eight touchdowns, and averaged 21 yards per kick return. In 2010, he signed a free agent contract with the Detroit Lions after a successful career at the University of Charleston.

Darius Davis (6'1", 200 lbs.) is entering his first season in the IFL. He was a two year starter at Memphis and was a defensive leader. Davis was voted team captain in 2010 and earned a Leadership Award at the Blue-Gray game. He had his best season with the Tigers in 2009 when he recorded 54 tackles.
