Blitz ready to host kids football camp

Bakersfield, Calif. - Attention future Bakersfield Blitz stars! Now is your chance to learn from the pros, as the Bakersfield Blitz is hosting a youth football camp from Monday, June 20th - Thursday, June 23rd.
Kids aged eight to 14, boys and girls, are welcome to attend the camp, which will be held at the Silver Creek Community Center, located at 7011 Harris Road. Both players and coaches from the 2005 Bakersfield Blitz will take the field to provide special instruction in the football basics: passing, catching, kicking, blocking and more.
Spots are still open for parents to register their kids at (661) 665-8033. The cost of the camp is just $60 and includes four days on the turf and a free Terrace ticket to the Blitz home game that Friday, June 24th. That game is against the Central Valley Coyotes, and the first 2,000 fans through the gates will get a free Blitz Pool Raft, courtesy of KGET-TV 17 and Rimer Homes. It's also Graduation Congratulations Night for all high school and college grads. Just bring your 2005 diploma to the box office and get 2-for-1 tickets.
The Blitz heads out on the road against the Amarillo Dusters this weekend on Saturday, June 18th. Game time is 5:00 p.m. (PST) and the game can be heard on KGEO AM 1230 with the Blitz pre- game show starting at 4:45 p.m.
