Blazers Sign Dryden Deobald and Kaden Meyer to WHL Scholarship and Development Agreements

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers have announced that the hockey club has signed 2008-born defensemen Dryden Deobald and Kaden Meyer to WHL Scholarship and Development Agreements. Deobald and Meyer were the Blazers first two selections in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft in May.

Deobald is from Regina, SK and was selected in the third round of the WHL Prospects Draft. The 6'1" and 140lb defenseman had 22 goals, 21 assists and 43 points in 28 games with the Regina Monarchs of the Saskatchewan U15 AA Hockey League.

Meyer was selected by the Blazers in the sixth round of the WHL Prospects Draft and is from Delta, BC. The 6'3" and 151lb defender played for the Greater Vancouver Canadians U15 AAA team and had eight goals, 16 assists and 24 points in 25 games.

Deobald and Meyer are the first two players signed in the 2008-born age group from the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft.
