Rancho Cucamonga, CA - The Bakersfield Blaze took advantage of 13 walks issued by Quakes' pitching, en route to a 15-10 win over Rancho Cucamonga on Saturday night at The Epicenter.

The Quakes outhit the Blaze 15-12 and after trailing by eight runs in the ninth inning, had the tying run in the on-deck circle, but couldn't get any closer, as the Blaze won their second of three games in the current series.

Saturday's game was full of big innings, as the Blaze plated four in the second to take the lead for good, six in the fourth to blow it open, then five over their final two innings for some extra insurance.

Quakes' starter Andres Santiago (3-2) struggled in the loss, allowing eight runs over just 3 2/3 innings.

Santiago left with two outs in the fourth, trailing 5-2. Freddie Cabrera came out of the bullpen and walked a batter to force in a run, then allowed a grand slam to Travis Mattair, making it 10-2.

The Quakes swatted three different two-run homers, after not hitting any in their past three games, as Austin Gallagher (11), Bobby Coyle (1) and Jonathan Garcia (7) all went deep.

Trailing 15-7 in the ninth, Rancho took advantage of a pair of Bakersfield errors, scoring three times and loading the bases with one out against Josh Ravin. Ravin recovered though, fanning both Leon Landry and Joc Pederson to preserve the win.

Blaze starter Daniel Renken (4-3) earned the win, despite allowing five runs on eight hits over 5 2/3 innings.

The Quakes (1-2, 38-35) and Blaze finish their four-game series at The Epicenter on Sunday, as big-leaguer Blake Hawksworth (0-0) will make his second rehab appearance, then after one scheduled inning, will be replaced by originally scheduled starter, Garrett Gould (1-6). Looking for three of four in the series, Bakersfield will go with Pat Doyle (7-2).

Sunday's game features Baseball Card Giveaway, presented by Cagles Appliance, as 1,500 fans through the gates will receive a free set of 2012 Baseball Cards. Game time is 2:05pm and gates open at 1:05pm. Tickets are available by calling (909) 481-5000 or online at rcquakes.com. Go Quakes!
