PHOENIX - Joe Germaine connected on a 23-yard touchdown pass to Orshawante Bryant with 14 seconds remaining as the Blaze (2-0) rallied to burn the Rattlers (0-2) 75-71 Saturday night at the U.S. Airways Center.
Germaine connected on 34 of his 48 pass attempts for 433 yards and 10 touchdowns. Former Arizona State product Ryan Dennard led all receivers in the game with 181 yards and seven touchdowns.
Sherdrick Bonner led the Rattlers with 319 yards and seven touchdowns, connecting on 23 of his 34 passing attempts. Trandon Harvey paced all Arizona receivers with 116 yards, while Jeremiah Pope scored four times.
The win - in front of a crowd of 9,594 - was the first for Utah against Arizona in four meetings between the division rivals.
