Gladiators Trade for DB Dahnel Singfield

Las Vegas Gladiators Head Coach Danton Barto announced todaythat the Gladiators have acquired defensive back Dahnel Singfield in a tradewith the New York Dragons in exchange for future considerations.

Singfield (6"1, 190, Buffalo) played with the New York Dragons in 2006recording 63.5 tackles, seven interceptions for 132 yards and nine pass breakups. Two of those interceptions were returned for touchdowns. He was named to the Arena Football League's 2006 All-Rookie Team.

Prior to hisfirst season in the AFL, he played under Coach Barto with the MemphisXplorers in the af2. In 2005 he was named af2 Defensive Player of the Year, recording a league-high 12 interceptions, earning all af2 National Conference First Team.

"Singfield is a guy that I know and can trust" said Coach Barto. "Having played for me two years in 2004 and 2005 I have watched him grow in theArena Game, he is going to make some big plays for us this year".

The Gladiators home opener against the New Orleans Voodoo is set for Sunday,March 18 at 3pm at the Orleans Arena. The Gladiators are currently 1-1 onthe season.
