Joplin, MO-The Blasters ended a five-game losing streak to Laredo with a 4-2 series-tying victory Thursday night at Joe Becker Stadium.

Joplin (34-27) posted its first home win over the Lemurs this season, and improved its record to 3-9 in the season series. The Blasters put a 28-straight scoreless innings streak against Laredo to bed with a first inning run. Three consecutive one-out walks loaded the bases for Joplin. Maikol Gonzalez brought in Glasser on a sacrifice fly to deep left. Yasser Gomez made it 3-0 with an RBI single bounced up the middle into center field.

Laredo (35-29) jumped back in it with a two-spot in the top of the sixth. Leading off, Jeudy Valdez singled to center. Ty Morrison then attempted a sacrifice bunt, but a catcher's throwing error to second placed runners at second and third with nobody out. D'Vontrey Richardson loaded the bases with a hit-by-pitch. Kevin Taylor drove in the Lemurs first run with an infield single to the right side. With one out and the bases still loaded, Dustin Geiger cut the lead to one as he was struck by a pitch.
