By the Numbers:

Baltimore Blast: Won previous game vs. Syracuse Silver Knights 11-4.Baltimore enters in first place in the East (4-0).

Milwaukee Wave: Won previous game vs. St. Louis Ambush 9-3. Milwaukee enters in second place in the Central (4-2).

The teams have combined to win 12 championships in the last 17 years. The Blast have won 7 championships while the Wave have 6.

Firing on all cylinders:

The offense has been nothing short of overpowering scoring 80 points in only 4 games this season. Tony Donatelli leads the Blast with 8 points on 4 goals and 4 assists. Lucas Roque leads the team in goals with 7 while Levi Houapeu and Tony Donatelli are tied for the lead in assists with 4. Baltimore is far from being one sided as the defense has played just as well as the offense. Pat Healey is third in the league with 10 blocks and Baltimore leads the league in average goals allowed per game. In net for the Blast William Vanzela has recorded 2 shutouts this season and leads MASL in GAA (1.25) and save percentage (.861).

Welcome to the Blast

In addition to the returning players, the Blast roster also includes seven newcomers. Onua Obasi, Jerjer Gibson, Juan Pereira, Jonatas Melo, and Kaoru Forbess have all recorded at least one goal to begin the year and look to continue their success.

The Competition

The Milwaukee Wave enters this weekend's game at 4-2 after an impressive 9-3 win over the St. Louis Ambush. The Wave have had to play 5 of their first 6 games on the road. Luan Sales Oliveira (11) Ian Bennett (10) and Marcio Leite (10) lead the Wave in points. Last year Leite was named 1st team all league and Ian Bennett along with Mercel Feenstra were named 2nd team all league. Feenstra is out for the season with a knee injury. The Wave are coached by Giuliano Oliviero.
