Baltimore Blast: Won previous game against Milwaukee Wave 14-10. Baltimore enters in first place in the East (6-0). Won previous matchup against Syracuse 11-4.
Syracuse Silver Knights: Won previous game vs. Harrisburg 26-8. Syracuse enters in third place in the East (2-3).
Firing on all cylinders:
The offense has been nothing short of overpowering scoring 138 points in only 6 games this season. Lucas Roque leads the team in goals with 13 points, 11 being from goals scored. Tony Donatelli has recorded 7 assists and 11 points so far this season. Baltimore is far from being one sided as the defense has played just as well as the offense. Pat Healey leads the league with 15 blocks and Baltimore leads the league in average goals allowed per game. In net for the Blast, William Vanzela has recorded 2 shutouts this season and leads the MASL in GAA (2.33) and save percentage (.816).
Team Depth
In addition to the returning players, the Blast roster also includes eight newcomers. Vini Dantas recorded two goals in his Blast debut last Saturday night while every active Blast player has recorded at least 1 goal this season. The Blast have 16 players who have recorded 2 or more points this season.
The Competition
The Syracuse Silver Knights enter this weekend's game at 2-3 after an impressive 26-8 win over the Harrisburg Heat. Elmo Neto and Nelson Santana lead the Silver Knights in points with 8 each and forward Slavisa Ubiparipovic leads the Silver Knights with 5 goals. The Silver Knights are coached by Tommy Tanner.
