The Return of Danny Kelly:

Blast veteran Danny Kelly played the first two games of the season (10/9 and 10/16) then missed the next 12 games with a knee injury. The Blast was 1-1 with Kelly to start the season and went 5-7 while he recovered from the injury. The 12 games he missed included a five-game losing streak. Kelly returned to the playing field on January 2 when the Blast traveled to St. Louis and lost, 6-3, to the Steamers. The Blast is 5-2 since the loss in St. Louis and 5-3 since Kelly's return. Kelly has three goals, three assists and nine blocks in the eight games since recovering from the knee injury and was named MISL Defender of the Week on January 10.

Last Time Out:

The Blast moved back into fourth place in the MISL with a 5-4 win over the St. Louis Steamers in front of 5,110 fans at 1st Mariner Arena. Machel Millwood, Neil Gilbert and P.J. Wakefield scored the first three goals of the game to give Baltimore a 3-0 lead early in the second quarter. The Steamers fought back in the fourth quarter, to bring the score to 4-3 with less than seven minutes remaining in the game, but Blast goalkeeper Brian Rowland organized the defense and maintained the lead. Wakefield led the team with two goals and Rowland turned away 15 of the 19 shots he faced.
