Blast Announce Two Player Signings

Baltimore, MD- Baltimore Blast President and General Manager, Kevin Healey, announced today the signings of Nicholas Tait and Jon Orlando. Per team and league policies, terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

Nick played local youth soccer in Silver Spring, MD. Tait is a recent graduate of St. Mary's College of Maryland where he was a four-year player and two-time captain for the Seahawks. Nick was First-Team All-Conference three years including CAC Player of the Year his junior season. Tait was also named St. Mary's Male Athlete of the Year his junior and senior seasons.

Jon grew up locally playing soccer in the Washington, D.C. area. More recently, Orlando played professionally for North Carolina FC as a midfielder where he made 11 appearances for the Railhawks. Orlando played his college soccer at the University of the District of Columbia. Orlando led his team in goals, assists, points, game-winning goals, shots on goal, and shots. After his freshman season, Orlando ranked 10th in points per game among Division II schools.

The Blast season continues this weekend with home games on Friday and Saturday. The Blast host the Ontario Fury on Friday at 7:35 p.m. at SECU Arena. The Blast are also home on Saturday at 6:05 p.m. to host the St. Louis Ambush at SECU Arena.
