CONNELLSVILLE, PA - One goal in each period and a stellar performance from Alex Blankenburg propelled the Ice Mines to their fourth straight win Friday night at the Ice Mine in a 3-0 final score over the Michigan Warriors.
The Ice Miners got off to a fast start, scroing 24 seconds into the first period when Taylor Fernandez tried to find Matt Jones on the doorstep. The puck deflected off Warriors netminder Ryan Wischow and in behind him for a 1-0 Keystone lead. Alex Archibald and Lordanthony Grissom assisted on the goal as Fernandez extended his point streak to six games. The score was 1-0 through one period.
