Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats Hockey Club is incredibly excited to announce that local artist Blake Berglund will perform the national anthem and play a first intermission set at Saturday's Western Night, when they take on the Red Deer Rebels.

Berglund is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter from Saskatchewan's southeast corner. His writing explores the human condition and pushes the sonic boundaries of country music. He has developed loyal markets throughout western Canada and into the southeastern United States. Berglund and his wife, songwriter Belle Plaine, spend their time between Regina, Saskatchewan and Nashville, Tennessee.

Berglund will perform a 12-minute set immediately following the conclusion of the first period, in addition to performing the Canadian national anthem before the game.

The Pats encourage all fans attending Saturday's game to come in their cowboy hats, cowboy boots, flannel, or any other western wear they'd like to show off. Prizes will be given out to select fans who dress up.

Saturday's Western Night is presented by Canadian Western Agribition.

You can follow Berglund on Twitter and Instagram @blakeberglund.
