
Blades lose Brine to AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward David Brine has been recalled to the Rochester Americans by the Florida Panthers.
The call-up is Brine's fourth to Rochester this season. The 22-year-old rookie heads to the AHL after picking up a goal in Florida's 5-2 win over Texas in game 3 of the best-of-seven South Division Finals. Brine has four points (2g, 2a) in six Kelly Cup Playoff games with the Everblades. During the 2006-07 regular season the Truro, Nova Scotia native registered 30 points (9g ,21a) in 52 games with the Everblades. With Rochester, Brine collected eight points (4g, 4a) in 22 regular season games.
After finishing up a three-year junior career with Halifax in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Brine skated in nine Calder Cup Playoff games with Manitoba last season, collecting one assist. Prior to his professional debut Brine totaled 198 points (70g, 128a) in 207 career games with Halifax.
