Blades Down Grrrowl 1-0 in OT

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades (22-12-9) defeated the Greenville Grrrowl (19-22-4) 1-0 in overtime in front of 7,007 at TECO Arena on Saturday night. Florida netminder Rob Zepp stopped all 30 shots he faced to earn the shutout and forward Laurent Meunier tipped in the game winning goal. With the win, the Everblades grabbed sole possession of third place in the ECHL's Southeast Division.

After a scoreless regulation, Florida forward Laurent Meunier redirected a Tom Buckley shot past Greenville netminder Michael Garnett just :42 seconds into the overtime frame to give Florida the win.

Florida goaltender Rob Zepp (17-8-6) stopped all 30 shots he faced and picked up the shutout while Greenville netminder Michael Garnett (9-11-1) stopped 39 of 40 shots. The Everblades were 0 for 5 on the power play while the Grrrowl were 0 for 5.

Florida hits the road for three straight games next week. The Everblades take on the Lousiana Ice Gators in Lafayette, LA next Friday and Saturday night. Both games begin at 8:05 PM. The Blades then travel to Pensacola to battle the Ice Pilots on Sunday at 6:05 PM. All 72 regular season games can be heard on Sportsradio 770 AM and on the web at www.floridaeverblades.com..
