BLACKHAWKS ASSIGN PETER WHITE TO NORFOLK

General Manager Mike Smith announced this afternoon that the Blackhawks have assigned center Peter White to Norfolk in the American Hockey League.

White, who was signed as a free agent in the off-season, began the season at Norfolk before being recalled by the Blackhawks on November 12th of this season. He scored his first Blackhawk goal in a 6-5 win at Buffalo on December 19th. He also scored a big goal for the Blackhawks in their 2-1 win over the St. Louis Blues on January 25th.

In 48 games for the Blackhawks this season, White scored three goals while adding three assists for six points with 10 penalty minutes. He will join the Norfolk Admirals tomorrow when they are in Chicago to take on the Wolves.
