AEROS GET REINFORCEMENTS FOR DEPLEATED LINEUP

HOUSTON, TX - The Aeros' roster continues to change this week, as D Mike Crowley was assigned by Minnesota (NHL). Aeros' General Manager Dave Barr also announced today that the Aeros have recalled F Bobby Brown.

A native of Bloomington, MN, Crowley signed as a free agent with the Wild in July of last year. Crowley (26) was sidelined with a lacerated Achilles during the preseason, and is scheduled to play his first game of the 2001-02 campaign this afternoon when the Aeros host the Milwaukee Admirals at the Compaq Center. He spent the majority of last season with Anaheim (NHL), where he registered 1-10-11, 20 PIM in 39 games with the Mighty Ducks. In 22 games with Grand Rapids (IHL), Crowley posted 4-12-16, 10 PIM. A veteran of over 276 career games, Crowley began his pro career in 1997-98 with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, and was chosen by Philadelphia in the fifth round, 140th overall, in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft.

This is Brown's third stint with the Aeros this season, after being recalled February 17, 2002. In 15 games with the Aeros, Brown has registered four assists and five penalty minutes. In other roster changes, LW Konstantin Kalmikov was released from a PTO after appearing in two games. The Aeros wrap up a nine-game home stand this afternoon when they host the Milwaukee Admirals at 5:00 PM at Compaq Center. The team then heads to Chicago for a matchup with the Wolves on Wednesday, followed by a trip to Winnipeg for their final meeting with the Moose this season on Friday and next Sunday.
