
Black Bears Suffer Defeat to Johnstown Tomahawks

Maryland Black Bears News Release
On Friday night, the Maryland Black Bears lost on the road to the Johnstown Tomahawks 8-2. The Tomahawks started off hot and never looked back by scoring 5 first period goals. Bobby Batten scored the only Black Bear goal in the first period with assists from Logan Kons and Luc Salem on a power play.
Johnstown continued their control of the game in the second period by scoring three unanswered goals. Jonathan Young finally answered with a score toward the end of the period with an assist from Karim Del Ponte. The third period was uneventful and neither team scored to finish out the game.
The Black Bears continue their weekend series with the Johnstown Tomahawks tonight at 7:00 PM in the 1st Summit Arena.
