June 18, 2012 - West Coast League (WCL)
Cowlitz Black Bears News Release
Wenatchee: June 18, 2012: Another well-played, suspenseful game in Wenatchee Monday night ended with an entirely different result than last night for the Black Bears as the Wenatchee AppleSox got the 3-2 win on a walk-off base hit.
The Black Bears got their first run on an Austin Wobrock (Orange Coast) RBI single in the top of the third inning that gave them the lead. After Wenatchee went ahead, the Black Bears tied the game in the sixth when Brian Frattali (U of Portland) got a run-scoring single of his own.
Cole Irvin (Oregon) was excellent on the mound, going six and two thirds innings and only allowing two runs.
The Black Bears next home game is against the Corvallis Knights on Tuesday, June 19. It will be Azteca $2 Tuesday where general admission tickets, hot dogs, soda, and beer are all $2 apiece.
