An Important Message About Our 2020 Season
June 5, 2020 - West Coast League (WCL)
Cowlitz Black Bears News Release
After much deliberation and a careful analysis of the facts available, it is with heavy hearts that the Cowlitz Black Bears staff is announcing the cancellation of the 2020 season. Our goal has always been to play and to provide a safe and entertaining gathering place that would act as a return to normalcy in our community.
This decision comes after many months of planning and communication with local and state authorities, who were nothing short of amazing in their willingness to help us pursue our vision of being a community leader committed to offering a safe venue, while also bringing back the pride of cheering on your hometown team.
We are deeply grateful to our players, supporters, sponsors, host families and local leaders who have been a source of encouragement for us every step of the way. You are the reason we operate and we can't wait to show you what we have in store for 2021. We'll be planning an exciting full season, and we look forward to introducing the West Coast League's newest team from Nanaimo, BC.
We will be reaching out to our sponsors and ticket holders over the next few days to address options moving forward. For more information, please see our COVID-19 FAQ page or contact us using the information below.
Our Longview office is currently open by appointment only.
We are responding to all calls and emails as quickly as possible.
