Berkshire Black Bears News Release
PITTSFIELD- The Berkshire Black Bears announced on Tuesday the signings of righthanders Dan Henderson and Shane Waroff along with lefthander Matt Minter. Henderson is a rookie who brings good command of his pitches and adds another element to the Black Bears bullpen. Shane Waroff was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2001 and led the short-season Missoula Osprey into the Pioneer League playoffs with a 4-1 record and a 2.48 ERA. A former prospect of the Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirates, Matt Minter is a durable lefthander who spent last season pitching in Taiwan.
The Berkshire Black Bears begin their second season at Wahconah Park on June 2 against the Quebec Les Capitales. Season and individual game tickets are now on sale by calling the Berkshire Black Bears office at (413) 448-2255.
