Black Bears Host Local Charities On Final Home Stand

PITTSFIELD- The Berkshire Black Bears will play host to several local charities and human service organizations during their final four game home stand August 22-25. The Pittsfield Visiting Nurses Association, the Lenox Children's Center, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Berkshire South Regional Community Center and their members will all be the guests of the Black Bears for their final home series against the Adirondack Lumberjacks.

Black Bears General Manager Mike Kardamis said, "We have been working with local charities all season long and it has been our pleasure. As an active member of the Berkshire County community and we place a very high value on supporting local human service organizations. We have donated thousands of tickets and make Wahconah Park available for each organization to help raise awareness of their mission."

The final home stand has the Black bears facing off against the Adirondack Lumberjacks. Thursday, August 22 is WBRK 2 for 1 Night, for every ticket purchased fans can get a second ticket of equal value free. Friday night is Berkshire Mall Night with the fans winning great prizes from the Berkshire Mall merchants through out the game! Saturday night is Fan Appreciation Night with a spectacular fireworks show sponsored by True Value right after the game. Sunday afternoon at 1pm it's the "Greater Miss Berkshire Pageant" with some of the area's most lovely and talented women compete for the title of "Miss Berkshire".
