Phoenix, Ariz. - The world champion Arizona Rattlers' rookie quarterback BJ Coleman has been voted the Arena Football League(AFL) MVP for the 7th week of the 2015 season.
Coleman earned the award for his performance against the New Orleans VooDoo last Saturday at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, La. BJ threw for 4 touchdowns and 160 yards in his second ever AFL start.
The Chattanooga Tennessee native made huge strides from his first game to his second. He showed a much higher level of consistency, throwing a completion rate of over 68% through the first three quarters.
Coleman took over the quarterback position after Nick Davila was put on injured reserve after the week 5 game in Los Angeles against the KISS. Davila is expected to return after the bye week.
Coleman will get his next start this Saturday, May 16th against the Las Vegas Outlaws at the US Airways Center in Phoenix. The game will be televised on FOX Sports Arizona, or streamed live on ESPN3.com or the WatchESPN app on a tablet or smartphone.
