TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Indianapolis Indians in the second game of a four-game series at Victory Field (7:00 p.m.). The Herd is looking to bounce back from last night's 3-2 loss against the Indians. Tonight's game is part of an eight-game roadtrip that began with a series win in Louisville. Buffalo is now 3-2 on the trip. On the mound tonight for the Herd will be LHP John Halama. Halama is coming off a solid outing at Louisville on June 19 as he allowed just two earned runs in 6.2 innings pitched. Indianapolis will counter with RHP John Van Benschoten.

SOLID SOUTHPAW: LHP John Halama has been solid in his first three outings with the Herd. The veteran has pitched at least five innings in each appearance and has collected a pair of wins. His best outing came on Thursday in Louisville as he scattered nine hits and allowed just two runs in 6.2 innings. Buffalo won the game 5-2 over the Bats.

STARTING STRONG: The Bisons lineup has gotten a great boost from INF Asdrubal Cabrera. Since June 11, Cabrera has hit .434 in 13 games in the team's leadoff spot. Last night, he got the Herd offense started with a leadoff home run as part of a three-hit game. He also stole a pair of bases against the Indians, his first two steals of the season. In his 13 games with the Bisons, Cabrera has nine multi-hit performances.

GONE-ZALEZ: INF Andy Gonzalez has the Herd's longest active hit streak with seven consecutives games. Since June 16, the infielder has batted .320 (8-25) with seven runs scored, a double, two home runs and six RBI. Gonzalez finished Monday night's game 1-5. On the current road trip, Gonzalez is batting .350 (7-20) with a double, two homeruns and five RBI.

BISONS' BITS: Prior to yesterday's game, INF Chris De La Cruz was promoted from Akron. De La Cruz was with the Herd from June 1-20 and hit .211 (4-19) in nine games...RHP Jeff Stevens has posted 19 strikeouts in his first 11.0 innings at the Triple-A level. He has also converted all four of his save opportunities.
