TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Syracuse Chiefs in the final game of a three-game series from Alliance Bank Park (7:00 p.m.). This set has been shortened from four games to three thanks to last night's rain out. That game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on July 8. Tonight's game is part of a seven-game roadtrip as the Bisons will be in Rochester, May 9-12. On the mound tonight for Buffalo will be RHP Brian Slocum. The righty had his last outing on Friday night limited to four innings because of an hour-plus rain delay (L, 4ER, 2K). Syracuse will counter with LHP Davis Romero.

GETTING SERIOUS: With a victory tonight, the Bisons will collect their third series win in the last four sets. Buffalo swept a two game series from Pawtucket, April 26-27, and then split a pair of games with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. From May 1-4, the Herd took three of four from the visiting Charlotte Knights. Buffalo did not win any of their first six series (2 splits, 4 losses).

GREAT START: Infielder Michael Aubrey had three hits Tuesday night and has now reached base in all four Triple-A games he's played in. With the Bisons, Aubrey has hit .313 (5-16) with a double and three RBI. He spent the first month of the season at Double-A Akron and has now hit in 25 of the 28 games he's played in this year.

FIRST ROUNDERS: With the addition of outfielder Bronson Sardinha, a third of the Bisons roster is now composed of former 1st round draft picks. Four of the eight 1st rounders were selected by the Indians: Brad Snyder (2003), Adam Miller (2003), Michael Aubrey (2003) and Jeremy Sowers (2004). Sardinha was selected in the first round by the Yankees in 2001. Jason Tyner (New York-NL, 1998), Matt Ginter (Chicago-AL, 1999) and Aaron Herr (Atlanta, 2000) were also picked in the 1st round.

BISONS BITS: OF Jason Tyner has a seven-game hit streak. He has averaged 381 (8-21) over the stretch...RHP Rick Bauer has pitched scoreless baseball in 11 of his 12 outings. His 6 saves are T3rd most in the International League...Despite going on the disabled list on May 1, INF Jordan Brown still leads the International League with 11 doubles...INF Aaron Herr has hit in 19 of his last 22 games with a .325 batting average (27-83).

-2007 w/ Bisons: (2-24.15ERA)(5GS, 26.0IP, 21H, 13R, 12ER, 16BB, 28K).

-2007: Did not pitch after 5/11 (5 starts) because of a forearm injury.

-2006 w/ Bisons: (6-3, 3.35ERA)(27G, 94.0IP, 78H, 42R, 35ER, 37BB, 91K).

-2006: finished 3rd on Bisons with 91K, 4th in average against (.227).

-Selected in the 2nd round (63rd overall) of the 2002 First-Year Player Draft.
