Today's Game:

The Buffalo Bisons host the Norfolk Tides in the second game a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The Herd lost, 8-3, in the series opener and are now 2-3 on the homestand. On Friday, the Bisons leave for an eight-game roadtrip to Louisville and Indianapolis.

vs. the Tides

The Bisons were 3-5 against the Tides last season, including a four-game split at Coca-Cola Field. Since 1998, Buffalo is 72-45 against the Tides, good for a .615 winning percentage. The Bisons are 34-23 all time against the Tides at Coca-Cola Field.

Germano Returns to Rotation

RHP JUSTIN GERMANO will make his first start since returning to the Bisons. The righty was 3-1 in four starts with the Herd before his contract was selected by the Blue Jays. Germano allowed two runs in two innings of his only outing with Toronto, May 1 against Boston. The righty has not started a game since beating Lehigh Valley on April 22.

1-2 Punch

INF JIM NEGRYCH and INF LUIS JIMENEZ are 1-2 in the International League in both average and slugging pct. Negrych leads with a .412 average and a .659 slugging pct. with Jimenez right behind at .376 and .656. The two are tied for the team lead with 35 hits and Jimenez leads all International League hitters with 29 RBI on the season.

Topping the Charts

The Bisons actually have four of the top five averages in the IL. OF MOISES SIERRA is 4th at .3604 with C JOSH THOLE (.3600) mere percentage points behind. The Bisons continue to lead the league on both team batting average (.303) and home runs (32) and are tied with Pawtucket for the most runs scored (161).

INF JIM NEGRYCH has hit in five straight games (8-22, .364) and 20 of 22 contests overall and leads the IL with a .457 on-base pct...Buffalo has hit a home run in six straight contests...OF ANTHONY GOSE (23) is tied for the league lead in runs scored...RHP NEIL WAGNER has allowed just two hits in his last eight appearances (8.0 IP, 12 SO).

Roster Move

INF LANCE ZAWADZKI has been placed on the disabled list, retroactive to May 3. The infielder hit .222 (4-18) with a double and two RBI in seven games with the Bisons this season.

Toronto (12-21) rallied from seven runs down to defeat the Rays, 8-7, last night in Tampa. C J.P. ARENCIBIA, OF COLBY RASMUS and INF MARK DeROSA all homered in the victory. The Blue Jays will look for their third straight win tonight at 7:10 p.m. against Tampa Bay.
